Love the album. I had to buy it after I heard the first 10 seconds of the opener. Listening to the guitar riff was like if a car freak is listening to sound of Lamorghini motor, grrrrrr. It’s one of very seldom moments when the high expectations are fullfilled.

I’m loving it. I’m also a GnR fan from way back. They’re one of the reasons that I started playing guitar.

I’ve loved following the leaks for the past several years. It’s reinvigorated my interest in guitar playing for one thing, and I’ve even bought a bit of new equipment so that I can get back to practising every day. For me, it’s been like being the member of a club. Unfortunately, now the album has been released, I’m a bit stalled of some of the material.

I had a long standing agreement with myself to buy no brand new films, music or books for more than ten years, instead surviving elusively on second hand etc. I got around it on this occasion by asking my mum to buy me it as a stocking filler. It’s a symbolic gesture as I downloaded it as soon as it appeared on bittorent, but I’d like to have a hard copy of every Guns album.

I didn’t like this album much. There is no “sweet child of mine” bomb in it. I am more of a singles person than an album one anyway. Reviews around rate it between 3 and 4 stars out of 5. I’d say it’s a 3/5.
